e-Backup is not a disaster recovery program. Some users do use e-Backup to backup their entire hard drive, but e-Backup can not restore your system back to its original state. An installation of the Windows operating system is required in order to run e-Backup so restores cannot be performed from a DOS prompt. The main purpose of e-Backup is for backing up and restoring important files and documents.
