PC Defender is signature based so you will need to update the files that the program uses to detect and remove viruses. These files are frequently updated and you can download them by clicking the Virus Definition Update button on PC Defender's interface.
As a default, PC Defender will occasionally update its virus definitions automatically. You can change the frequency of these updates by clicking on Options -> Internet Updates. It is recommended that PC Defender is updated frequently because new viruses are being created on a daily basis.
